Recently the Nokia Service HERE has opened its service to Android Firefox OS and iOS what means that HERE is no available on all three major Smartphone operating systems and Firefox OS. HERE itself has said that it will be concentrating on the new operating systems to optimize their apps for these first before providing any further updates for Windows Phone. However it seems that Nokia has not completely forgotten their early companions, therefore they have released new updates for all their Windows Phone apps. Apart from that they have updated also the HERE Maps web app which is known as HERE.com, they are currently also working on an update for the HERE Maps Windows 8.1 app.
With todays update the HERE Drive+ app gets support for even more countries which can now use the tun by turn voice navigation. They have included 18 more territories today which means that now also people from Algeria, Iraq, Cyprus, and Libya are able to use this feature. There have been added a few more to have a more specific look on which countries have been added, please have a look at the HERE Blog which has listed all the countries which have been added.
Furthermore the HERE Drive+ and HERE Transit apps are now available for free for all Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.0 users, head to the Windows Phone app store to download HERE Drive+ or HERE Transit for free.
Below you can have a look at a few screenshots which are showcasing the intro to the new HERE Maps Web App, with this update there comes real time traffic info among some other things.
