Nokia N1: A Tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop from Nokia

Well like we have already expected it, Nokia has today presented a new device, but not what most of us thought, it is the first Android Tablet with a Nokia Branding, the Nokia N1. The device will be launched with Android 5.0 Lollipop

Nokia is not allowed to produce new smartphones until 2016 this is part of the contract which they made with Microsoft when they bought their smartphone division but obviously Tablets are not included there. Therefor Microsoft has today presented it first ever Tablet running Android 5.0 Lollipop instead of Windows 8 RT. This was really fast as soon as they did not have to listen to Microsoft anymore they started to produce the products they actually want to produce since a few years it seems.

So the question is, what will you get with the Nokia N1 despite Android 5.0 Lollipop. Well the device features a 7.9″ IPS Display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, by the way this is exactly the same display like Apple is using in their iPad Mini. A Intel Atom (Z3580) processor with 2,3GHz, Power VR G6430 and 2 GB of RAM are ensuring that the Table has enough power to successfully cope with all daily exercises. Of course this device has also a front and a rear camera but they have not said anything from Carl Zeiss. The Rear Camera will have 8MP whereas the front camera has 5MP. Furthermore the Nokia N1 has a powerful battery with 5300 mAh und has got an internal storage of 32GB

Also the design of the device is pretty neat, it is a unibody device made of aluminum. It is also very light, it weights 318 grams and has a dimension of 200,7 x 138,6 x 6,9 millimeters. That you can imagine how thin this is, well it is thinner than the iPad Mini from Apple, though the battery from the Nokia N1 is 1000 mAh weaker than the one from the iPad so this is probably why it is a bit thinner. The device will be shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be available in two colors, the natural aluminum color and a grey color tone. It will be available at February 2015 in China, in Europe and everywhere else in the world we will have to wait a bit longer for it. They will sell it for 249$ without taxes.
