Opera Mini Arrives on Windows Phone, albeit in Beta

2opp

Opera have finally released a web browser for Windows Phone 8, which is in beta for the time being.

Opera Mini, which has been available for Symbian and MeeGo Harmattan became available today for free and while it isn’t a patch on the Android and iOS versions, it is still a start and will hopefully come out of beta faster than some apps we have seen on Microsoft’s mobile platform (cough… cough… Instagram).

Opera Mini is built using the Presto Engine and has the same appearance and lay out as Opera on Symbian, while the Opera browsers on Android and iOS are built on the newer, better Blink Layout engine.

You can download Opera Mini from the Windows Phone Store HERE.
