Lumia Icon Display Model Appears in Fry’s Store

Fry’s electronics store in San Marcos, California, USA appear to have mistakenly put a display unit of the so far unannounced Lumia Icon AKA Lumia 929 on their shelf in a spot marked Lumia 928.

A Reddit user by the name of LO64N posted the pictures above to Imgur which show the dummy phone, suggesting that, if stores already have these, then an announcement of the Lumia Icon may not be far away.

While nothing has been officially announced, we know the Lumia Icon will be exclusive to Verizon and come with similar specs to the Lumia 1520, only sporting a smaller 5 inch display, but still with a 1080p display.

We did get our own leaked pictures of the Icon which we brought to you back in December (click HERE to see them) for a pretty detailed look at what it will be like, for me it is the perfect device, more manageable than the 1520 but with the same top end specs and I’m a big fan of the design. Just a shame it won’t be available in the UK.

The Lumia Icon/929 will hit the market running Windows Phone 8, and if the rumours are correct come with a 20 megapixel PureView camera, all powered by 2GB of RAM and a 2.2Ghz Quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor.
