Want to Pre-Order a Jolla Device But Have Questions? Here are Answers

If you are a Nokia fan it seems to follow that you are a Jolla Fan or at least have an interest in what’s going on there.  No doubt you have seen their big launch a few weeks back and may be thinking about pre-ordering a device but have some questions.  I did too and decided to reach out to Jolla themselves for some answers.  Not shockingly I found most of my answers to these questions in Jolla’s Pre-Order FAQ page.  Below I will post what I think is the most common questions people have. 

 

Q.1 I wish to place an order with Jolla.com. Please help.

 

A. Shopping at Jolla.com is easy and secure. Placing an online order requires just a few steps:

First, create and log-in to your Jolla account.

Then, select the pre-order package you would like to purchase and then click the click on the Pre-order or Register button.

You can then fill in your information and proceed to Checkout.

 

 

After we receive your order, you will get a confirmation email with your order number. If you do not receive an e-mail, please contact Jolla before trying to place another order for the same item/s.

 

 

Q.2 I would like to know which countries are supported for pre-orders. Please help.

 

A. Countries supported for the Limited ed. Jolla + Other Half (100€) pre-order package at the time of opening May 20, 2013 included Finland, Sweden, Denmark, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy. From May 28, 2013 we will include all EU countries plus Switzerland and Norway!

 

For the Jolla (0€) pre-order package we support global orders, and yet final availability of the Jolla device will be decided based in part on pre-order demand from each country and solely at the discretion of Jolla Ltd.

 

 

We’re looking forward to receiving a sufficient amount of pre-orders in order to serve as many countries as possible. Show your interest by pre-ordering today and you will be among others ensuring availability of Jolla in your country!

 

 

Q.1 I have purchased a 40€ pre-order package and want to upgrade to the 100€ package. Please help!

 

A. Currently the upgrade path is as follows:

Email Jolla that you wish to upgrade your pre-order package from 40 to 100€.

In the email, request Jolla to cancel/delete your confirmed 40€ pre-order package.

Then, please proceed to place a new order for the 100€ pre-order package.

 

Jolla will then take steps to ensure that the 40€ pre-order package is cancelled and funds refunded.

 

Please note:  the upgrade path applies only to those consumers with confirmed 40€ pre-order packages within the supported countries, i.e., all EU countries plus Switzerland and Norway.

Q.7 I would like to know which payment options Jolla.com supports. Please help.

 

A. We accept major debit and credit cards, including Visa®, Visa Electron®, and MasterCard®. We also accept payments via Maestro® and PayPal®. Direct payments are also possible via: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Sampo, Tapiola, Aktia, Nooa, Paikallisosuuspankit, Säästöpankit, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, and Ålandsbanken.

Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy is the secure payment provider and their servers encrypt all information submitted to them, so you can be confident that your information will be kept safe and secure.

Q.6 I would like to know which languages Jolla.com supports. Please help.

A. Currently Jolla.com supports English and Finnish.

 

 

Q.10 I wish to know when my credit card will be charged. Please help.

 

A. Your credit card will be charged upon purchasing your Jolla down-payment package.

Q.11 I would like to ship internationally. Please help.
