Nokia Plans to Bring Back Nokia Experience Kiosk in the Malls
Hmmmnnn.. Don't call it a Comeback? In Lumia, Pureview or Asha style maybe? Nokia plans to re-open Experience Kiosk in the malls.
Nokia has done this before back in 2005 when the Nseries Eseries phones were introduced. At first it started as an Experience Kiosk where they would have the devices there and have Reps talking to visitors/shoppers about the devices. It was really cool as a Nokia fan and the mall was a block away from my house. The guys at Nokia kiosk got to know me well from my frequent visits. Back then I was just a Forum contributor over at Howard Forums where I got to talk about the experience. Well in the long run when the Nokia Flagship Store NYC opened in 2007. The Nokia Experience Kiosk started selling phones as well. I know this because I remember buying my mom a Nokia C3 from them. 🙂
I have received an email also from Queens Center Mall notifying me for un upcoming Job Fair for the Holiday Season. Looks like the dots are started to connect.

So if you are Nokia Fan or Tech Fan like me.. This might be your lucky break.. Personally I would have jumped over this if I was single and unemployed. But not happening, since I need a secured Full time job to care for my family.
I just hope Nokia hires some good help this time or provide them with proper training. Some of the Reps I spoke to in the past didn't really know the capabilities of their devices. So I hope they learn from that.. I will be lurking. 🙂
So what do you guys think of this news? I mean back then this made sense since they didn't really sell a lof of their high end phones through carriers. What about now? Their flagship phones Lumia 900 and soon Lumia 920 will be selling at the AT&T Stores. Are these Kiosk going to sell phones or just Simply an Experience Kiosk?
Let us know what you think..
