Exclusive Nokia Lumia Coming to Verizon Later This Year?

In an interview with FierceWireless, Chris Weber (Nokia’s president of North America)  not only reconfirmed the “Rolling Thunder” strategy he took it a step further and stated this:

“The most important thing we can do in the U.S. market is bring exclusive devices and opportunities to each of the carriers,” he said. “Doing that exclusivity and giving them something unique allows us to get great carrier support.”

When questioned specifically about Verizon wireless (The one major US Carrier without a exclusive Nokia Windows Phone) he had this to say:
“They’re a very important partner for us.”
You can take that statement only so many ways and most logical way is that in the near future Verizon will be getting an exclusive Nokia Windows Phone just like AT&T and T-Mobile.
This feeling is backed up even further when he talks about new internal push at Nokia to be “the most operator-friendly company”  When he was asked to elaborate on Nokia’s new commitment he had this to say:
“I think it’s critical for us to be successful in the U.S…. That’s the way you get great carrier support.”
He also reiterated that Nokia will continue to focus on working with carriers to create unique business models paired with each device.
All of this seems to be great news not only for the consumer but also Nokia who has had a VERY HARD time breaking into Verizon (one of America’s largest carriers) with any phone much less what I assume will be flagship device.. Anyone one out there with Verizon is their carrier excited about this?
