Nokia Lumia 800 a Buttonless Windows Phone
The day has finally arrived! The Nokia SeaRay has seen the light of day as a production Windows Phone that you and I can get our hands on!! The Nokia Lumia!
Here is a quick run down of the specs:
- 3.7 AMOLED ClearBlack display
- eight-megapixel auto-focus camera with Carl Zeiss
- 1.4GHz processor
- 16GB of internal memory
- WiFi and Bluetooth
- 512 of Ram
As you can see this phone shares hardware with N9 even to point where there are no psychical “Windows Phone” buttons. They are all integrated into the the screen.
On of the best features of this phone is not even on the phone. Nokia now has cloud computing which offers an additional 25GB of “cloud storage” for free. This means that you really have 41GB of storage that come with the Lumia. That is huge. I can’t wait till a 32GB phone is released that would make the true storage 57GB!!
One of the things that I didn’t see on the Lumia was NFC, which is not a deal breaker but is kind of shocking because Nokia is leading the mobile industry right now in NFC roll out.
According to Nokia:
The Nokia Lumia 800 will be available from November in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK, across 31 operators. The estimated retail price is €420, before any local taxes or subsidies. Other territories including Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan will see the Nokia Lumia 800 before the end of the year, with even more markets following in early 2012.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a Lumia!
