Nokia S40 phones becoming more useful like S60 smartphones

I can tell you guys this is the most fun I got out of a S40 phone. Me and my wife were just out doing window shopping last weekend and decided to ship something to Philippines. Well since its a weekend I know for a fact that these shipping business have different business hours on weekends. So I was about to call 611 on my phone to ask for their number so I can call them, then I suddenly thought of Google Maps that I installed on my Nokia 6085. So I opened the application click on the search item and inputed the business name of what I’m looking for, then “voila” found what I’m looking for, and it even provided me the address and number to call. So I just click on the number and it called the place we were looking for. Also you can download gmail on S40 phones too, for easy access to your google mail. Who do I thank here? 1st of all I thank Nokia for having such a phone that’s open to any software, 2nd I thank Google for creating an application that is so useful and works on a mid level Nokia phone such as the Nokia 6085 S40 platform. It just makes mid level Nokia phones works almost like an S60. One more thing I liked about S40 now is there are so many wap sites available now “aka” mobile version websites. Meaning I can go on without going to the full website so less kilobytes to burn and it loads much faster, also I can browse and post on Howard Forums now with their wap version site Wi-Forums. Now I can be on the road or be outdoor and can enjoy the power of web. Now let me try if I can do some blogging on my phone? Hmmmnnn.. Will update you guys on that.

By the way to download Google Maps and Gmail on your Nokia S40 phones. Just simply go to your phone browser and click on (go to) type in it will take you to the mobile version site like I discussed above and you just scroll down and you will see both Gmail download and Google Maps download just click on them to download and install on your phone.

Good Luck and Have Fun.. Just keep on tuned in on my blog I will have some more goodies and more useful phone tricks coming soon.
